A Royal Crown Derby fine bone china dinner plate decorated in the 1128 Old Imari pattern. The circular plate features a rich palette of cobalt blue, iron red, and 22 carat gold gilding. The design is organised into radial panels around the rim, alternating between iron red floral motifs on a cobalt ground and gilded scale patterns. The central well displays a complex six-lobed floral medallion surrounded by intricate scrolling gilt-work on a cobalt blue ground. The base bears a red printed mark comprising a crown above a circle containing interlaced Ds, surrounded by the words ROYAL CROWN DERBY ENGLISH BONE CHINA. Below the mark is printed © 1128 and the Roman numerals XLIII, serving as the date code for 1980. Small hand-painted marks in red and green are also present near the rim of the base.
