The pulley block is constructed with a composite wood? and steel frame, housing three internal wheels designed for heavy lifting. It features a swivel eye bolt at the crown and a fixed eye at the base for securing loads. One of the outer steel plates is stamped with the numerical sequence 0246/521/2726, followed by the text TEST 4 TONNES, the initials AJ, and the date 3/79. The accompanying galvanized white metal container is of square, open-topped form. One side features embossed text reading PROPERTY OF above a large stylized W logo which contains the name WALLS. The interior shows a further illegible impressed mark.
