A large-scale resin sculpture from the Soul Journeys collection, specifically within The Silk Road series. The piece depicts a standing adult female and a small child, both dressed in elaborate, textured teal-blue robes. The attire features fur-effect trim, pink and gold-toned decorative chest panels, and a traditional-style headdress on the adult figure. The woman is portrayed carrying a golden-coloured woven basket. Both figures possess dark brown skin tones and stylized facial features. The sculpture is finished with a heavy surface texture designed to simulate woven fabric and animal fur. The interior of the accompanying cardboard box is printed repeatedly with a circular logo and the text Soul Journeys. Included is an informational card with the header THE SILK ROAD, which states: These gem studded sculptures celebrate the magic and mystery, the legends and history of The Silk Road. The fabled overland trade route that linked the ancient empires of Rome and China.
