A hand-painted earthenware censer of bulbous, tapering form, featuring a cream-coloured glazed ground. The vessel is equipped with two handles modelled as ram or goat heads with curved horns. One side of the body is decorated with a seated figure wearing a green pointed hat and matching tunic, while the reverse features five-petaled green flowers. Teardrop-shaped piercings are present on the domed lid, which is topped with a ribbed finial. Black painted bands accent the rim of the bowl and the edge of the lid. The base is impressed with the numerals 252, which likely serve as a pattern or mold number. The interior of the bowl and the underside of the lid show a white glazed finish.
