The figure is depicted in a standing posture upon a naturalistic, mossy green ground-effect base. She is dressed in a short-sleeved blue blouse, a long brown skirt, and a red and yellow striped sash at the waist, adorned with a single-strand bead necklace. The woman supports a large, woven-texture winnowing tray or shallow basket in front of her with both hands, while a further pack or bundle is carried upon her back. The figurine is finished with a cold-painted surface, featuring dark brown skin tones and a matte texture to the garments. The underside of the base is plain and shows no maker’s name or model number.
