A large statement brooch by Sarah Coventry, featuring a radiant starburst or sunburst motif. The design is constructed from white metal with a pinwheel arrangement of curved, textured rays. The fronds exhibit a finely detailed linear texture with polished highlights, surrounding a central raised boss set with a large cream-coloured pearl. The reverse of the brooch is finished with a similar textured effect and features a long horizontal pin stem secured by a rolling C-clasp safety catch. A raised rectangular cartouche on the reverse is embossed with the maker’s mark reading SARAH COV followed by a copyright symbol.
