An Edwardian style revolving library stand of square form, constructed from mahogany with a polished finish. The piece features a solid mahogany top with a moulded edge, supported by two tiers of open shelving. Each tier is divided into four compartments by vertical mahogany laths and separated by horizontal laths, with the vertical supports turned in a baluster style. The entire unit is mounted on a revolving cross-base, which terminates in four brass-capped ceramic casters. The structure is designed to allow for the storage and retrieval of books from all four sides, typical of the Canterbury or revolving library furniture tradition.
Height: 32″.
