An Art Deco wall-mounted aneroid barometer housed in an oak? case with a prominent medullary ray grain pattern. The case features a stepped architectural form incorporating an octagonal bevelled-edge mirror secured by four metal clips. The dial contains both black and red markings, with the black indicating rising air pressure and the red indicating falling pressure. The face includes detailed weather predictions such as ‘Fair and dry’, ‘Changeable’, and ‘Very rainy storm’. A central square cutout exposes part of the internal mechanism. The unit is complete with three hands: a black indicator for current pressure, a red-tipped tracking hand, and a thin silvered? pointer. The bottom of the case features an integrated geometric pedestal shelf. The outer scale is calibrated in inches of mercury from 29 to 30.
