A vintage gas table lighter of rounded triangular form produced by Rowenta. The body is encased in a burgundy leather sleeve, which is decorated with two horizontal bands of gold-tone stamped foliate and geometric patterning. The top of the unit features a brushed gilt metal effect plate with a circular flame aperture, while a matching rectangular thumb-press ignition lever is recessed into one side. The baseplate is constructed from gilt metal effect material and contains various adjustment and fill ports. The base is impressed with the maker name Rowenta, alongside the characters GAS, GERMANY, and PAT. The item exhibits a combination of textured leather and smooth metallic finishes, typical of mid-20th-century desk accessories.
