A desk weather station compendium of square-column form, constructed from gilt-metal effect material with a rotating action on a circular pedestal base. The unit features four inset glass panels, three of which house white dials with Art Deco-inspired line borders and black Arabic numerals. The clock dial features Breguet-style hands and is marked with a central logo above the text SEWILLS ESTD 1800 AD LIVERPOOL. The aneroid barometer dial is calibrated in millibars (mb) from 960 to 1060, marked mb BARO and similarly branded. The hygrometer dial is calibrated from 0 to 100 per cent, marked % HYGRO. The case is finished with a brushed texture to the top and a polished finish to the base, with bevelled edges to the glass panels.
