An Edwardian sterling silver mustard pot of cylindrical form featuring an intricate openwork body with stylized leaf motifs. The vessel is fitted with a hinged domed lid surmounted by a knop finial and a scrolling thumbpiece, alongside a C-shaped handle. A small notch is present in the lid to accommodate a spoon. The interior contains a removable cobalt blue glass liner. The exterior rim of the body is struck with a series of hallmarks: a lowercase letter ‘h’ in a shield, a lion passant, an anchor, and a maker’s mark ‘L&S?’. The underside of the lid bears a corresponding lion passant and anchor mark. The silver surface displays a dark patina throughout.
