A set of sterling silver teaspoons and matching sugar tongs, presented in a fitted black leatherette case. The collection is executed in the Old English pattern, featuring distinctive shell-motif terminals to each handle. Each spoon bowl and the bridge of the sugar tongs bear a full set of British hallmarks including a lowercase ‘c’ for the year 1927, a walking lion passant for sterling silver, and an anchor for the Birmingham assay office. The maker’s mark ‘JH&S’ is impressed within rectangular punches, corresponding to J. H. Wynn & Sons. The interior of the hinged case is lined with cream silk to the lid and a deep blue velvet base.
