A German Fürst Pless hunting horn produced by B&S? (Vogtländische Musikinstrumentenfabrik?). The instrument is of circular, natural form constructed from yellow brass with a wrapped brown suede leather winding to the main body. The bell is decorated with a silver-tone applied plaque featuring a stag head framed by a laurel wreath. To the left of the stag is an oval cartouche containing the characters B & S. The leadpipe is fitted with a single water key and a removable silver-tone mouthpiece. The horn is accompanied by a matching dark brown suede and leather soft-sided carrying case featuring a zippered closure, a top handle, and an adjustable leather shoulder strap. A white rectangular adhesive label is present on the suede body of the case reading 600.
