A large uniface wall medallion or plaque cast in brass with a dark brown patinated finish. The obverse features a high-relief profile portrait of a man facing right, presented in a naturalistic, textured style. The outer edge is inscribed with the relief lettering DR. ING. e.h. FRIEDR. KIRCHHOFF ISERLOHN. The reverse is concave, mirroring the relief of the portrait, and displays the yellowish tone of the base metal. A copper wire hanger has been crudely soldered to the reverse for wall mounting. The piece exhibits surface wear, pitting, and some scratches, particularly along the rim and the high points of the portrait. The inscription commemorates Friedrich Kirchhoff, an industrialist from Iserlohn, Germany, who held an honorary doctorate in engineering.
