A decorative two-piece bird bath constructed from cast stone? / reconstituted stone? featuring a naturalistic woodland theme. The upper section consists of a shallow circular bowl designed to resemble a cross-section of a tree trunk, with concentric growth rings textured into the basin and a rim modelled as thick, rough bark. A sculpted squirrel figure is perched upon the rim with its tail curled over its back. The pedestal is formed as a tapering tree trunk, heavily textured to simulate bark and decorated with relief-carved wildlife including a squirrel at the base and a bird positioned further up the trunk amongst oak leaves and acorns. The piece is finished with an aged, multi-toned patina including areas of white mineral efflorescence and natural biological growth.
