A wooden still bank constructed in the form of architectural miniature bed steps or a bureau. The item is crafted from a dark-grained hardwood, likely mahogany?, featuring a coin slot to the top surface and a sliding upper panel that provides access to the internal storage compartment. The front edge is decorated with a carved bead and reel style moulding. The side panels are shaped with scalloped bracketed cut-outs forming four integral feet. The construction shows a polished finish throughout, with friction wear visible to the internal runners of the sliding mechanism. A small circular hole is present on one side panel near the base, which may have originally functioned as a locking point for a securing pin. No inscriptions or markings are visible on the exterior or interior surfaces.
