A British World War II period sweetheart brooch constructed from yellow metal. The piece is formed of two interlocking hearts joined by a sprig of ivy leaves. The upper heart features an embossed Mizpah benediction from Genesis 31:49, reading in capital letters: THE LORD WATCH BETWEEN ME & THEE WHEN WE ARE ABSENT ONE FROM ANOTHER. The lower heart displays the central insignia of the Royal Air Force, comprising the RAF initials within a laurel wreath, surmounted by a Tudor Crown. To the right of the crest is an embossed monogram consisting of the characters V and C. The reverse side features a granular texture and is fitted with a simple pin and C-clasp assembly. No assay marks or maker’s names are legible on the piece.
