Two pieces of household furniture comprising a tripod side table and a floor-standing magazine rack. The pedestal side table is constructed in the Italian Sorrento style? with a shaped, scalloped-edge top. The surface features a decorative marquetry panel to the centre depicting a floral bouquet within a scrolled border, set against a light-toned wood ground with a high-gloss lacquer finish. The top is supported by a turned central pedestal column resting on a tripod base with three cabriole legs, each decorated with carved scroll motifs to the knees. The magazine rack is of traditional slatted construction, likely crafted from oak or oak-stained timber. It features shaped vertical end supports and a central integrated carry handle, designed for floor-standing use. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible on either piece.
