An oak magazine rack of upright construction, designed in the Arts & Crafts style. The piece is crafted from solid oak with visible medullary ray flecks to the grain, particularly to the upright dividers and side panels. The structure consists of two shaped internal dividers and a tall, peaked backboard featuring a pierced decorative motif comprising an oval cutout with a central diamond. The front panel is embellished with an applied rectangular molding featuring a carved bead-and-reel pattern. The side panels are shaped with a slight peak and terminate in four short, splayed feet. The wood is finished in a medium oak tone with a visible lustre. There are no maker’s marks or labels present on the exterior surfaces.
