The stand features a central cylindrical stem accented by two pairs of scrolled volutes positioned mid-way and towards the base. The piece is supported on a four-legged base with scrolled feet, providing stability for the tall form. At the summit is a large, deep cylindrical drip pan or vessel? intended for holding a large candle or burning material. The ironwork displays a distressed black painted finish, with surface oxidation visible where the paint has worn. The interior of the vessel shows a thick, crusty accumulation of what appears to be ash?, wax?, or mineral deposits. No legible maker marks or signatures are present.
