A Victorian white metal? epergne centrepiece of ornate scrolling form. The stand features a domed, lobed base resting on three decorative feet, supporting four openwork scrolling arms arranged around a taller central upright. The frame is fitted with five hand-blown glass trumpets: a central tall trumpet and four smaller surrounding trumpets. Each trumpet is fashioned from clear glass with an amethyst purple ruffled rim and an applied clear glass rigaree crimped trail around the midsection. The metal frame displays foliate motifs to the terminals of the scrolling arms. No maker’s marks or hallmarks are visible.
