A brass? spirit kettle of compressed globular form, mounted within a pivoting stand on an integrated rectangular tray. The main body of the kettle is embellished with a broad band of embossed scrolling foliate and floral decoration. The vessel features a curved spout and a hinged lid topped with a turned ebonised wooden finial. A large ebonised wooden handle grip is fitted to the pivoting frame. The stand is constructed from cast and machined components, set upon a tray with a raised gadrooned border. The central burner unit is removable and bears the stamped inscription MADE IN ENGLAND on its upper collar. The surfaces exhibit a polished finish with areas of oxidation and tarnish remaining within the decorative recesses.
