A brass? wine cooler of two-handled, footed form designed in the Neoclassical style. The vessel is constructed with a wide, flared rim above a cylindrical upper body. The lower portion transitions into a bulbous section decorated with a band of cast vertical gadrooning. The piece is flanked by two scrolling, ribbed handles and stands on a stepped, circular pedestal base. The metal surfaces display a warm, aged patina with natural variations in tone and areas of surface oxidation.
