A quartersawn oak gateleg table of early 20th century? Jacobean Revival style. The piece features a rectangular central section flanked by two drop leaves, all with decoratively scalloped edges. The oak top displays prominent medullary ray figuring throughout. The base is constructed with six barley-twist legs, including two gates that swing out to support the extended leaves. The legs are joined by a low-profile rectangular stretcher and terminate in turned bun feet. The table is finished in two tones, with the base exhibiting a darker stain than the polished top surfaces.
