A trio of Art Deco style phenolic / bakelite? resin lidded containers featuring a dark brown mottled finish throughout. The set consists of one larger cylindrical jar and two smaller domed pots. The cylindrical jar includes a flat lid with a circular recessed centre featuring a faint incised standing animal motif. The base is moulded with a semi-circular mark containing a leaping quadruped animal above the text ‘Made in England’ and ‘Starlight Ltd (London)’. The perimeter of the base is further moulded with the inscription ‘BRITISH AND FOREIGN PATENTS PENDING’. The two smaller circular pots have stepped, domed lids, one of which features a side notch for a condiment spoon.
