A Galaware phenolic / bakelite resin? The vessels are of inverted conical form, each supported by three tapering tripod legs. The coordinating circular tray features two integral raised handles and a slightly recessed centre. Both the vessels and the tray are finished with a variegated dark brown and ochre mottled pattern, intended to simulate the appearance of stone or wood grain. The underside of the tray bears an embossed circular mark containing a graphic of a three-arched bridge above wavy lines, and the characters Galaware rendered in a script font.
