A mid-20th-century mahogany-veneered bachelor’s chest of drawers of serpentine form. The chest features a top with a moulded edge and canted front corners, positioned above four graduated long drawers. Each drawer front is decorated with book-matched mahogany veneers and is fitted with brass-tone swan-neck handles with ornate, openwork batwing backplates. The chest is supported by four cabriole legs, the front two of which are embellished with carved acanthus leaf detailing to the knees, all terminating in ball and claw feet. The piece displays a polished finish across the mahogany veneers and a moulded base.
