A large machine-woven tapestry housed within a dark-stained wooden? frame. The piece depicts a 17th or 18th-century style tavern or inn interior scene populated by multiple figures in period costume. Central figures include a man playing a lute whilst seated next to a woman, a man to the left holding a plucked bird, and figures to the right seated at a table. The background features a large, hooded hearth and various rustic furnishings. The textile is rendered in a palette of muted earth tones, ochre, and brick red. The frame is of a simple stepped profile and is fitted with a single metal hanging bracket to the top left corner.
