The head assembly is mounted upon a cylindrical steel column and includes a rear-mounted induction motor connected via a belt-drive system, housed beneath a black plastic cover. The unit is fitted with a three-spoke feed handle with spherical black plastic grips and a standard keyed chuck. The front faceplate displays the manufacturer name DELTA in silver-toned capital letters beside a logo of three stacked triangles. A black rectangular safety plate on the side of the head reads FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY above numbered operating instructions. The unit includes a red and black power switch and an adjustable depth stop mechanism. The power cable is severed and the chuck key is absent.
