A mahogany-veneered? tallboy chest of drawers of narrow, upright form. The piece is constructed with a stepped and moulded top edge over a configuration of six drawers. The drawer arrangement comprises two short drawers at the top followed by four graduated, full-width drawers. Each drawer is fitted with brass-effect ring-pull handles set against circular backplates. The chest is raised on traditional bracket feet with a matching moulded base. The mahogany-veneered exterior exhibits a rich grain pattern throughout. The internal and rear surfaces appear to be constructed from a secondary wood?. No manufacturer marks or labels are legible on the piece.
