A large contemporary mixed media sculpture of a stylized nautilus or spiral form. The object is finished in a mosaic of iridescent nacreous shell tesserae, possibly mother-of-pearl or capiz, displaying a range of golden-cream and pale amber tones with a lustrous finish. The organic, abstract form features a central aperture and a sweeping, overlapping spiral design. The sculpture is mounted on a substantial, matte black rectangular plinth. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the body or the base.
