A Lladro glazed porcelain figurine titled The Lamplighter (El Farolero), model number 5205. The figurine depicts a male figure in a long blue overcoat, brown cap, and scarf, standing on a cobblestone-patterned base adjacent to a tall, grey fluted lamppost. The figure holds a long, slender black pole with gold-toned tips. A detail of a discarded newspaper is visible on the base. The underside of the base features a blue underglaze stamp with LLADRÓ above HAND MADE IN SPAIN and © DAISA 1983. Impressed marks include F-5 N and a stylized E. A small blue stamped number 18 is also present. This piece was designed by Salvador Furió and first issued in 1984.
