This Royal Crown Derby bone china plate is decorated in the Old Imari 1128 pattern. The design features a palette of cobalt blue and iron red, embellished with 22 carat gold gilding. The centre is occupied by a floral medallion with six radiating petals, each containing stylised floral motifs against a white ground with fine red detailing. The wide border is divided into alternating panels: one set featuring orange flowers on a cobalt blue ground with gold scrolls, and the other containing a red and white scale pattern within gold-bordered geometric frames. The rim is finished with a solid gold band. The underside of the plate bears a printed mark in red, featuring the words ROYAL CROWN DERBY in a semi-circle, a crown above a monogram of two interlaced letters D, a copyright symbol, and the words ENGLISH BONE CHINA. The pattern number 1128 is printed below, alongside the Roman numeral date code XLV, indicating a manufacture date of 1982.
