A Royal Worcester glazed porcelain figurine depicting a young goat or kid in a dynamic scratching pose. The figure features naturalistic hand-painted black and white markings with subtle tan highlights around the face and flanks, standing on an integral rectangular base finished in a pale green glaze. The underside of the base displays a printed green factory mark consisting of a crown above a circle of four interlocking Ws, surrounded by the words Royal Worcester and Made in England. A small capital V date code is located beneath the mark, signifying a production year of 1949. The base also features the printed model number 3124 and a handwritten inscription in green script reading Goat modelled by Stella R Crofts.
