A 19th-century single-draw terrestrial telescope by the optician Abraham of Liverpool. The instrument features a high-gloss polished mahogany barrel and nickel-silver or silver-plated brass fittings. The first draw tube is engraved in two lines of script with 70 LORD STREET LIVERPOOL and Abraham,. The eyepiece is fitted with a sliding dust cover. The telescope is complete with its original objective lens cap and is housed in the original black leather-covered wooden presentation case with a fitted interior lined in cerise-red silk or velvet.
