A collection of peaked service caps of British military or emergency services? style, dating from the mid to late 20th century. The group comprises examples in dark navy blue and one in dark green wool? or heavy synthetic fabric, the latter likely for a Rifles? or Intelligence Corps? regiment. The caps feature black patent effect? visors with green linings to the undersides. Several examples retain black chin straps, with one navy cap displaying a silver-toned button embossed with a crown motif. The interiors are finished with various linings in red, tan, and grey tones. Noted inscriptions and labels include an ink-marked leather sweatband reading FERGUSON 6 7/8, a printed white label reading 55, B41099578224, C7338/5870, and a further adhesive label reading BJC1093, 170602 7 1/8. The caps are presented without badges or insignia.
