A set of decorative bookends featuring polished yellow metal horns modelled in the style of circular bugles or hunting horns. Each instrument is mounted via a decorative baluster-form stem to a rectangular backplate with notched corners, which is secured to an L-shaped base finished in black paint. The horns exhibit classic form with a flared bell, coiled central section, and a distinct mouthpiece. The black-painted bases are constructed from a solid material, possibly wood? or a dense composite, designed to provide stability for holding books. A small white adhesive label is located on the upper surface of one base, which contains partially legible characters including A and 00, but is otherwise not readable as a specific name or origin. The construction appears weighted, suitable for use on a library shelf or desk.
