An ornate table lamp of classical urn form in the French Louis XV revival style. The central porcelain body features a deep pink ground decorated with a hand-painted oval vignette depicting a seated lady in 18th-century dress within a garden landscape. The structure is supported by a substantial stepped rectangular gilt-metal base, which contains an inset hand-painted porcelain plaque showing a rural landscape.
The lamp is fitted with a cream-coloured damask-patterned fabric shade featuring elaborate gold-toned braided trim and a scalloped lower edge.
The item has been rewired for modern use with a brown plastic-coated cable and a standard UK three-pin plug. It retains a white PAT (Portable Appliance Testing) sticker showing a pass result. No maker marks or signatures are visible.
