This lot comprises a pair of hand-painted glazed earthenware mugs, decorated in the distinctive polychrome style associated with Armenian pottery workshops in Jerusalem. Each mug features a cylindrical body and an angular, ‘broken-arch’ style handle. The first mug is decorated with scrolling foliate and floral motifs in turquoise, manganese, and black set against a pink-dotted ground, framed by geometric borders at the rim and foot. The second mug displays a geometric pattern of hexagonal panels in cobalt blue and brown, each containing stylized floral sprigs, finished with chevron and dot borders. The handles are decorated with wavy lines and small crosses. The unglazed bases show concentric throwing marks, and one base features a small, hand-painted character or symbol in reddish-brown pigment.
