A contemporary studio stoneware bowl by Peter Dundon, titled Little Planet of Dust. The piece features a shallow, irregularly shaped form with a flared rim. The interior is finished in a dark metallic charcoal glaze, decorated with hand-painted sgraffito celestial motifs including eight-pointed stars and a central explosion graphic. A three-dimensional sculptural rocket ship is applied to the rim, featuring metallic glazes in bronze and orange hues. The exterior retains an unglazed, textured brownish clay body. The interior rim is impressed with block lettering reading DUNDON, LITTLE PLANET OF DUST, and the stars.
