A hand-modelled contemporary studio pottery sculpture in the style of Dennis Thompson, depicting a dragon poised atop a large domed base. The dragon is rendered in a dynamic, coiled pose with an elongated, arched neck and a crested head. It features a mottled light blue and grey glaze with a cream-coloured ribbed underside. A distinctive line of raised, multicoloured slip-trailed beads in shades of yellow, turquoise, navy, and black runs along the length of the spine and neck. The domed base, likely representing an egg, is finished in a rich, mottled deep blue glaze and is encircled at the foot by a band of relief-moulded repeating spiral motifs. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible on the upper surfaces of the piece.
