A pair of large decorative casters or sugar shakers, featuring an ornate Neo-Rococo design resembling the work of Corbell and Co. Each vessel is formed with a baluster-shaped body mounted on a stepped, circular spreading foot. The exterior is embellished with heavy repoussé and chased decoration, depicting scrolling acanthus leaves, floral motifs, and panels with lattice patterns. The domed covers are pierced with foliate designs to facilitate sifting and are topped with cast urn-form finials. As no assay marks or maker’s marks are discernible, these items are catalogued as white metal.
