A mid-20th-century silver-plated rectangular table box, manufactured by Aristocrat, England. The box is constructed from electroplated nickel silver and features a wood-lined interior. The lid and sides are decorated with a fine engine-turned guilloché pattern. The centre of the lid is set with a British coin depicting Queen Elizabeth II, with the visible inscription ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA. The box is supported by four small bun feet. The base is stamped with the maker’s brand and material specifications: ARISTOCRAT, H.E.P.N.S.B, and MADE IN ENGLAND. The interior is lined with wood and finished with a green baize fabric.
