A vintage Stratton powder compact featuring a circular gold-toned metal body with a sunburst engine-turned design to the lid. The compact is housed in its original cream and gold lattice-patterned cardboard box, which features the Stratton brand name printed in gold script on the interior of the lid. Included is a vintage pigskin leather case, likely intended for cigarettes or as a small wallet, featuring a light brown textured leather exterior, a gold-toned metal frame, and a push-button clasp. The interior frame is stamped Burrows’ Perfection and PROV. PAT. This case is accompanied by its original blue and white patterned cardboard box, which is labelled MADE IN ENGLAND, COL. PIGSKIN, and No. 2178. Completing the trio is a rectangular vintage lithographed metal tin with a hinged lid, decorated with a green and cream geometric scroll design and a central oval medallion depicting a classical scene.
