A pair of hand-carved oak architectural corbels or brackets, executed in the Renaissance Revival style. Each piece features a central lion mask in high relief, framed by scrolling foliate and acanthus leaf borders. The carving is deep and expressive, typical of late 19th-century craftsmanship. The back and top surfaces are flat, indicating these were salvaged from a substantial furniture piece, such as a sideboard or fireplace mantel, or used as structural architectural supports. The oak exhibits a deep, aged patina. No maker’s marks, stamps, or labels are present on the mounting surfaces.
