A ceramic money box modelled in the form of a standing wild boar, designed in a rustic folk-art style reminiscent of ancient Etruscan pottery. The figure features a stout body, protruding tusks, and a prominent, vertically textured mane. A horizontal coin slot is positioned across the upper back. The piece is finished with a heavily textured, hand-painted surface in a palette of dark brown and black tones, featuring polychrome accents of red ochre on the body, white highlights to the snout and tusks, and hints of green and yellow on the crest of the mane. While no maker marks are visible, the form and decoration are highly consistent with the raku-fired studio pottery of Russell Coates (b.1949).
