A porcelain pedestal vessel, potentially converted from an oil lamp, featuring a main body decorated in high relief with a continuous hand-painted battle scene. The narrative scene depicts various figures in medieval-style armour and costume, including mounted soldiers and a combatant with a blue shield featuring a fleur-de-lis motif. The upper rim and foot are decorated with gilded foliate scrolls and lattice patterns on a white porcelain ground. A metal threaded fitting is visible at the junction of the bowl and the stem. The underside of the base is marked with an underglaze blue mark of interlaced cursive Ls with a central character, and incised marks reading 75 64 and E.
