A 19th-century hand-coloured sporting print on paper, depicting a traditional hare hunting scene in a wooded landscape. The composition shows figures on horseback and a pack of hounds in pursuit of a hare, which is visible in the lower right foreground. The lower margin contains the bilingual titles ‘HARE HUNTING, 1.’ and ‘LA CHASSE AU LIÈVRE.’, separated by a central circular crest. A publication line below the titles reads in part ‘Published & Sold March 1 18[..]’. The print is presented in a dark-stained wooden frame with a gilded inner slip.
