Buyer's Premium:

An Anglo-Indian or Burmese carved hardwood occasional table, likely dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. The circular top features a recessed plain central panel surrounded by a wide, deeply carved border. This border is decorated with intricate foliate scrolls interspersed with representations of birds and architectural structures featuring arched doorways and tiered roofs. The top is supported by a single pedestal with a carved open-spiral barley twist design, terminating in a tripod base. Each of the three scrolling legs is carved with zoomorphic features, ending in feet shaped as mythical beasts or dragons. The table is constructed from a dark-stained hardwood, such as teak or padauk. There are no visible maker marks or labels.
