Another Great Auction
A figural sculpture after Auguste Moreau (1834-1917), depicting a young boy or putto in a dynamic, playful pose. The figure is captured mid-stride with flowing drapery wrapped around the waist and caught in motion. Modelled in a naturalistic style, the boy is supported by an integral textured base featuring a tree stump and rocky ground. The sculpture is constructed from a bronze-finished resin, exhibiting a dark, uniform brown patina across the surface. The entire piece is mounted upon a circular, stepped black polished stone plinth. No visible artist signatures, foundry marks, or edition numbers are present. A small white inventory label bearing the number 4854 is affixed to the side of the black base.
